He has the high ground.
Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi is officially coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2 next week as part of the free Battle of Geonosis update on November 28.
Revealed by EA, Obi-Wan is sporting his younger, Ewan McGregor look from Revenge of the Sith, as opposed to the “Old Ben” Kenobi watching over Luke Skywalker in A New Hope. He will be voiced by James Arnold Taylor, who has previously taken on the role in The Clone Wars and various Star Wars video games.
A defensive fighter, Obi-Wan wields his blue lightsaber and posses blocking skills superior to any other Jedi in the game. His defenses are combined with high stamina and powerful, chained melee attacks.
Obi-Wan’s Defensive Rush ability has him rushing forward “while swinging his lightsaber, deflecting blaster shots with flawless accuracy and damaging enemies in front of him.” His Restrictive Mind Trick ability lets him disrupt his target’s abilities for a brief period. Lastly, he has an All-Out Force Push ability, which is more focused than Luke Skywalker’s in the game.
Obi-Wan was one of the things we can expect out of Star Wars Battlefront 2 for the rest of 2018, as well as the rest of the Battle of Geonosis update that comes with three new vechicles, including the AT-TE, and a map for Geonosis itself. This all follows General Grievous’ release as a playable character in October.
